It really depends upon the individual(s) doing the work and their schedule.
If you're quick and are working on an easier kit, it can be done in just a few hours. We believe it takes a day for an average person to do a kit. But since you have 60 days to complete a kit, many people will make a few Christian miniature items each day in their free time.
If you are a beginner, then allow some additional learning time for making your first kit(s).
Of course, no matter how you look at it, working at home allows you to work any time you like. And when you compare the amount of work and the amount of pay, making Christian miniature items pays much better than a job in a fast food restaurant.
We know you're eager to get paid. So, Christian Miniatures processes requests for kits and requests for payment every day.
Frankly, the only thing that slows us down is the U. S. Post Office. We can't control how fast they go! But, to give you an idea, we send kits and payments out the same business day or the next business day from Florida or New York. Right now, mail to the northwest may take up to a week to arrive. All kits are sent by U. S. Priority Mail to assemblers in the U. S. The Post Office says that Priority Mail takes from 2 to 3 days to get anywhere in the country. Mail is sent outside of the U. S. by AirMail.
You have to be able to read, be able to see small things, and have a steady hand. This is because you have to read and follow our instructions, you will have to make things which are small, and you may have to cut, fold and glue these items.
Most people have these skills.
The only thing you need to have is a desk stapler (or smaller) and staples. Any tools you need are supplied in the kit.
For cutting, we supply a very sharp disposable knife. Generally these are easier and more accurate than scissors. But if you prefer to use your own tool, we won't know! As long as the finished item is correctly made, that is all that matters.
Everyone makes errors. So, we supply extras in each kit. We supply enough to make around 110 to 130 items in a kit designed to make 100 items. And remember that you can also order more free materials if needed.
You will also be submitting a sample of the first item you make. This will be evaluated carefully and returned to you with a written report detailing any changes that need to be made.
You must send your completed Christian miniature items postmarked no later than 60 days from our postmark. The 60-day limit allows us to plan on having stock to fill the orders of wholesalers and retailers who are expecting us to have the items available.
Making a book begins with cutting out a long strip of pages from a printed sheet. These strips have been designed so that when you fold them along the marks into a stack, making an accordion shape, the pages will be in the right order. One side of the stack is glued and the other side of the stack is trimmed off with your knife. This produces a beautiful little stack of pages that looks just like the real pages in a book.
The "hard" cover of the book is cut out and folded into the right shape and then the stack of pages is glued into the cover along the spine. Finally, you cut out a dust jacket, fold it and place it around the cover to complete the book. When they are completed, they look just like the real thing, except that they are one-twelfth the size of a real book. They are very cute!
There is no limit to the number of kits you can have at one time! We will buy one correctly assembled product set that you to make from each kit! The average assembler works on one or two kits at a time. We suggest that beginners start with no more than five kits. But, some assemblers have gotten 7 or 8 kits to work on.
